Lesson 44 Amplified – AMEN

AMEN

From Greek to American: firmly, surely, so be it

Hebrew Aramaic: to American: surely, truly, certainly, so be it

The first mention of “Amen” in the Bible is in Numbers 5.22. The Koine Greek transliteration of the Hebrew Aramaic is the same -- “Amen”.

Numbers 5.22: And the ishshah [woman] shall say Amen, Amen.

Almost Greek: (Words in italics are translator’s additions.)

2nd Corinthians 1.18: But Theos is pistos [trustworthy, faithful] that our [my] logos [word] to you wasn’t caused to be “Yes” and “No.” For the Son of Theos, Jesus, the Christos [Anointed One, Messiah, Christ], the One in you via us [me]; keruchtheis [proclaimed, heralded] via me, Silvanus [in Latin: “Wood”; in American: “Silas”] and Timotheos [in Greek: “Dear to God”; in American: “Timothy”] wasn’t caused to be “Yes” and “No”; conversely, “Yes” was caused to be in Him. For as many as are the kerugma [proclamations] of Theos, in Him is the “Yes” and in Him is the “Amen toward glory to Theos via us. For as many as are the kerugma [a proclamation] of Theos, in Him is the “Yes” and in Him is the “Amen” toward glory to Theos via us.

Romans 1.24: Therefore, Theos also surrendered them (in the lusts of their hearts) to impurity in order that their somata [bodies] be rendered infamous in themselves, who exchanged the truth of Theos for the lie and venerated and served the creation rather than the Creator, Who is adorable to the ages. Amen!”

Luke 12.35 “Let your loins be girdled [belted] and your lamp lit, and you will be like men awaiting their kurion, when he departs emergent from the nuptials in order that he coming and knocking, they will immediately open to him. Supremely blest are those slaves whom the kurios coming, will find awake. Amen! I say to you, that he will gird himself and will cause them to recline and coming up to them, he will serve them. And if he comes in the second watch [between 9 PM and midnight] or if he even comes in the third watch [between midnight and 3 AM] and find it so, supremely blest are those slaves.

Luke 18.15: Now, they also brought towards Him infants in order that He might touch them. Now seeing this, the mathetai admonished them but Jesus summoned them to Him, saying, “Aete [allow, permit] the children to come to Me and not estop them for truly of this sort is the Kingdom of Theos. Amen! I say to you, whoever not receives the Kingdom of Theos in the manner of a child not (in no way) enters into it.”

Luke 18.28: Now, Rock said, “LO! we went forth from [left] everything and accompanied You.” Now, He said to all of them, Amen! I say to you that there isn’t even one man (who has gone forth from house or parents or brothers or gunaika [woman, wife] or children because of the Kingdom of Theos) who shan’t fully receive many more in this time and in the coming age, eternal life.”

Luke 21.29: And He told them a parable: “You see the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout (observe for yourselves), you know that (even now) summer is near. Thus, also, when you see these events being caused to be, know that the Kingdom of Theos is near. Amen! I say to you that not (in no way) will this generation pass away until all shall have been caused to be. The ouranos [sky, heavens] and the earth will pass away but My logoi not (in no way) will pass away.”

Luke 23.39: But one of the hanged wrongdoers eblasphemei [spoke irreverently, spoke profanely; blasphemed] Him, saying, “If You are the Christos, soson [make safe, save] Yourself and also us.” But answering, the other wrongdoer admonished him, saying,“You not even fear Theos because we are under the same sentence? and we in fact justly. We receive suitable for what we practiced but He not practiced even one thing amiss.” And he said to Jesus, “Kurie! remember me whenever You come into Your Kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Amen! I say to you, on this day (amidst Me), you will be in paradeiso [Paradise].”

James 5.19: Brothers! in case anyone in you is caused to stray from the truth and someone reverses him, know this, that the one reversing an hamartolon [misser of the mark or goal, one erring, one offending, one sinning] emergent from the fraudulence of his way, sosei [will make safe, will save] his psuchen [soul, life, psyche, ego] emergent from death and will cover up a fullness [crowd] of hamartion. Amen!

Mark 3.27: Not even one man isn’t able, having entered the house of a powerful man, to plunder his goods, unless he first binds the powerful man and then he will plunder his house. Amen! I say to you that all the hamarotemata of the sons of men will be apheimi [sent forth, forsaken, forgiven] and whatever much blasphemiai they have blasphemesosin but whoever blasphemmese into the Hagios Pneuma, he hasn’t pardon to the age; conversely, he is liable to a perpetual judgment.” (He said this because they said, “He [Jesus] has an impure pneuma.”)

Mark 8.11: And Pharisees issued forth and began to debate with Him, seeking a semeion [sign, indication] near [from] Him (from Ouranou [Heaven]), testing Him. And deeply sighing in His Pneumati [breath, spirit], He says, “Why searches this generation for a semeion? Amen! I say to you, this generation if will [won’t] be given a semeion!”

Matthew 26.73: Now, after a micron of time, those standing by approaching, said to Rock, “Amen! you also are emergent from the Same for even your lalia [tongue, speech, dialect] makes you clear.” Then is when he began to curse and swear, “I not know the Man!”

John 1.49: Nathaniel said to Him, “Rabbi! You are the Son of Theos! You are the King of Israel!” Jesus answered, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you have pisteueis in Me? You will see greater sights than these. Amen! Amen! I tell you, you will see Ouranon opened and the aggelous [messengers, angels] of Theos ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

Revelation 1.7: LO! He comes amidst the cloudiness and every eye will gaze (with wide open eyes) upon the Same and [as well as] those who nailed the Same and all the offshoots [cultures] of the earth will chop [pound the breast in grief] over the Same. Yes! Amen!

Revelation 1.17: And when I saw the Same [Jesus], I fell forward (to His feet) as if dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, “Not fear! I AM the First and the Last and the living One! And I was caused to be dead and LO! I AM living to the ages of the ages. Amen! And I hold the keys of Hadou [Haides: Unseen, subterranean world of the dead, Hades] and of death.”

Revelation 3.14: “And to the aggelo of the ekklesias [assembly, church] in Laodicea, write: ‘These words says the Amen; the pistos and truthful Witness, the Chief of the Creation of Theos:

Lesson 43 Amplified – OURANOS

                                                             OURANOS -- OURANOI

American singular: elevation, the heavens, the sky, aloft -- plural: the skies, the heavens

Hebrew Aramaic or Chaldee singular: shameh -- plural: shamayim

OURANOS -- OURANOI

American singular: Heaven -- plural: Heavens, Heavenlies

Hebrew Aramaic or Chaldee singular: Shamayin -- plural: Shamayim

Capitalizing these words makes them refer to Heaven; the location of the City of God that is described in Revelation.

Almost Greek: (Words in italics are translator’s additions.)

1st Thessalonians 4.13: I don’t want you to be ignorant with respect to those sleeping [having passed on], lest you grieve as also the rest do, not having elpis [expectation, hope]. For if we pisteuo [put our faith in] that Jesus died and stood up again, so Theos will also bring with Him [Jesus] those who have been put to sleep via Jesus. For this we say to you (in a logos [word] of the Kurios), that we (remaining living until the coming of the Kurios) not (in no way) may go ahead of those having been put to sleep because the Kurios Himself will descend from the ouranos in a rallying cry in the phone [sound, tone, noise, voice] of an archaggelos [chief messenger, chief angel] and with a trumpet of Theos. And first the dead in the Christos [Anointed One, Messiah, Christ] will stand up again, then the living will be caught up together with them (in the cloudiness) to a meeting of the Kurios in the air. And so, we will always be with the Kurios. So also comfort one another with these logoi.

1st Corinthians 15.45: So also, it has been written, “The first man, Adam, was caused to be into a living psuche [soul, life, psyche, ego].”

GENESIS 2.7: YHWH Elohiym [Triune God] formed Adam of dust from the ground and blew into his nostrils neshamah [breath] of life and Adam was caused to be a living nephesh [psuche].

{Corinthians cnt.} The final Adam [Jesus] was caused to be into a life-giving Pneuma [breath, spirit]. Conversely, the spiritual body not firstly came but the sensual; thereafter came the spiritual. The first man was emergent from the soil, earthly; the second Man (the Kurios) was emergent from Ouranou. As is the dirty man, so also are the dirty ones. And as is the above-the-sky [Heavenly] Man, so also are the above-the-sky ones. And as we bore the eikon [image, likeness, statue, icon] of the dirty man, we shall also bear the eikona of the above-the-sky Man.

2nd Corinthians 12: Indeed, to boast is not advantageous to me. I will go on to visions and revelations of the Kuriou. I know a man [Paul] in the Christo, who fourteen years ago (whether in his somati [body] or outside his somatos I not know, Theos knows), this man was snatched to the third Ouranou. I know that this man [Paul] (whether inside his soma or outside his soma, I not know, Theos knows) was snatched to Paradeison [Paradise] and heard unspeakable rhemai [utterances] which it isn’t right for a man to speak. Over this I will boast but over myself I won’t boast, except in my feebleness.

Romans 10.6: But the dikaiosune [equity, justification, rightness] emergent from pisteos [faith] says thus, “Not say in your heart, ‘Who will go up to Ouranon?’ that is to lead down the Christon or ‘Who will descend to the abussos [depthless, bottomless, abyss]?’ that is to lead up the Christon from among the dead.”

DEUTERONOMY 30.11: [Moses speaking] “For this command which I command you today is not too pala [difficult] for you and it isn’t too remote [far off]. It isn’t in the Shamayin such that you should say, ‘Who shall ascend to the Shamayin and get it for us and cause us intelligently to listen to it in order that we may do it?' And it isn’t beyond the Mediterranean Sea such that you should say, ‘Who will go around to the region beyond the Sea and take it for us intelligently to listen in order that we may do it?’ For the dabar [logos] is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart in order that you may do it.”

Colossians 1.14: He in Whom we have redemption via His blood; the freedom of [from] hamartion [misses of the mark or goal; errors, offenses, sins]. He Who is the eikon of the invisible Theos, the firstborn of all creation because in Him all was created: the things in the ouranois and the things upon the earth; the seen [visible] and the invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rank or authorities. All has been created via Him and to Him and He IS before the birth of the whole of creation and all is presented in Him. Also, He is the Head of the somatos [body], the ekklesias [assembly, church].

Luke 3.21: Now, it was caused to be that in the baptisthenai [immersion, submersion, baptism] of all the people, Jesus also was being baptisthentos by John and was proseuchoumenou [humbly begging God, praying] and the ouranon was opened up and the Hagios Pneuma came down upon Him in somatiko [bodily] form as a pigeon [dove] and a phone was caused to be emergent from the ouranou, saying, “You ARE My Son, the Agapetos [unconditionally Beloved]. I AM proud of You.”

Lesson 42 Amplified – ORGE & THUMOS

Now we address the anger of Father God. Two Koine Greek words are used in the New Testament for this negative emotion.

                                                                       ORGE

American singular: violent passion, fury, rage, wrath

Hebrew singular: zaam, chemah, chema

THUMOS, THUMOI

American singular: passion, anger, indignation -- plural: passions, angers, indignations

Hebrew singular: aph

Clearly the former is more violent than the latter. The following excerpts display the distinctions.

Almost Greek: (Words in italics are translator’s additions.)

1st Thessalonians 5.9: For Theos not placed us prostrate into orge but for acquisition of soteria [rescue, safety, salvation] via our Kurios Jesus, the Christos [Anointed One, Messiah, Christ], the One having died on our behalf in order that whether we keep awake [live] or we sleep [die], we may live together with Him.

Romans 1.18: For the orge of Theos (from Ouranou [Heaven]) is uncovered upon all impiety and injustice of men suppressing the truth in injustice because the well-known truth concerning Theos is shining [apparent] in them for Theos revealed it to them.

Romans 2.5: But because of your skleroteta [callous, hard] and impenitent heart, you are accumulating for yourself orgen in a day of orges and a revelation of the dikaiokarisias [right judgment] of Theos, Who will give to each one down [according] to his work. Theos will give to those in fact by cheerful endurance in good work (seeking glory, timen [value, esteem] and incorruptibility [immortality]), eternal life but to those emergent from intrigue (even in fact willfully disbelieving the truth but approving injustice), He gives thumos and orge. There will be stress and calamity for every psuche [soul, life, psyche, ego] of man working totally kakon [the worthless], (firstly for the Jew and also for the Greek) but glory, time [value, esteem] and peace for everyone working good (firstly for the Jew and also for the Greek) for there isn’t partiality with Theos.

Romans 9.22: What if Theos thelon [determined, chose, decided, decreed] to display orgen and to make His dunaton [force, power] known, endured in much forbearance vessels of orges (having been thoroughly completed toward destruction) and did so in order that He might display the wealth of His glory upon vessels of compassion which He prepared in advance for glory, whom He also called; us, not only emergent from Jews, conversely, also emergent from the ethnon [nations, races, non-Jews, Gentiles].

Romans 12.19: Not avenge yourselves, agapetoi [unconditionally beloved]; conversely, give place [space, room] for the orge of Theos for it has been written, “Revenge belongs to Me. I will repay,” says the Kurios.

DEUTERONOMY 32.35 [YHWH] “... Revenge belongs to Me and recompense.”

Romans 13: Let every psuche be subordinate [subject] to superior [higher] authorities for there isn’t authority, if not from Theos but the existing authorities exist due to having been arranged [instituted] under Theos. So too, the one opposing authority opposes the arrangement [institution] of Theos and those having opposed Him will receive a krima [decision, judgment rendered, verdict] to themselves. Rulers aren’t a cause of fears to those doing good works, but they are to the kakon [worthless]. Now, do you want not to fear authority? Do good and you will have praise emergent from the same for he is a servant of Theos for good to you but in case you do kakon, do fear! for he NOT eike [idly, vainly] wears the sword for he is a servant of Theos, a punisher to orgen of the one practicing kakon. Because of this, it is necessary to be in subjection, not merely because of orgen, conversely, because of conscience.

Colossians 3.5: Accordingly, make your limbs [members] upon the earth dead to porneian [depravity], impurity, pathos [passion], lust, kakia [worthlessness] and avarice which is idolatry for which activities the orge of Theos is coming upon the sons of apeitheias [willful disbelief].

Hebrews 3.7: Therefore, the Hagios Pneuma says, “Today if you hear His voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the provocation in the day of the temptation in the wasteland, when your forefathers tempted Me (testing Me) and saw My works for forty years. Therefore, I was prosochthisa [vexed, annoyed] with that generation and I said, ‘They always err in their heart, and they didn’t know My ways,’ so I swore in My orge, ‘They shan’t enter into My katapausin [rest].’”

PSALM 95.7: “Today if you will hear His voice, don’t harden your hearts as in Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wasteland, when your forefathers tempted Me. They tested Me and saw My work for forty years. I was disgusted with that generation and said, ‘They are a people who vacillate in their heart, and they don’t know My road [ways],’ to whom I swore in My zaam, ‘If shall [Not shall] they enter into My rest.’”

Hebrews 4.2: For we, those pisteussantes [having faith], enter into the rest even as He said, “As I swore in My orge, ‘They shan’t enter into My rest,’”

PSALM 95.10: “For forty years I was disgusted with that generation and said, ‘They are a people who err in their heart, and they don’t know My [Father God’s] ways, to whom I swore in my aph, ‘If they shall [They shan’t] enter into My rest.’”

Ephesians 5.3: Not let porneia nor all [any] impurity nor greediness be named in you (as is fitting for hagiois) nor filthiness nor foolish speaking nor joking, the not becoming, but rather eucharistia [gratefully giving thanks] to Theos. For be knowing this, that every [not any] pornos or [nor] impure one or [nor] greedy one (who is an idolater), not has inheritance in the Kingdom of the Christou and of Theos. Not let even one man deceive you with empty logois [words] for via these actions comes the orge of Theos upon the sons of disobedience.
