The first mention of “Amen” in the Bible is in Numbers 5.22. The Koine Greek transliteration of the Hebrew Aramaic is the same -- “Amen”.
Numbers 5.22: And the ishshah [woman] shall say Amen, Amen.
Almost Greek: (Words in italics are translator’s additions.)
2nd Corinthians 1.18: But Theos is pistos [trustworthy, faithful] that our [my] logos [word] to you wasn’t caused to be “Yes” and “No.” For the Son of Theos, Jesus, the Christos [Anointed One, Messiah, Christ], the One in you via us [me]; keruchtheis [proclaimed, heralded] via me, Silvanus [in Latin: “Wood”; in American: “Silas”] and Timotheos [in Greek: “Dear to God”; in American: “Timothy”] wasn’t caused to be “Yes” and “No”; conversely, “Yes” was caused to be in Him. Amen!”
Luke 12.35 “Let your loins be girdled [belted] and your lamp lit, and you will be like men awaiting their kurion, when he departs emergent from the nuptials in order that he coming and knocking, they will immediately open to him. Supremely blest are those slaves whom the kurios coming, will find awake. Amen! I say to you, that he will gird himself and will cause them to recline and coming up to them, he will serve them. And if he comes in the second watch [between 9 PM and midnight] or if he even comes in the third watch [between midnight and 3 AM] and find it so, supremely blest are those slaves.
Luke 18.15: Now, they also brought towards Him infants in order that He might touch them. Now seeing this, the mathetai admonished them but Jesus summoned them to Him, saying, “Aete [allow, permit] the children to come to Me and not estop them for truly of this sort is the Kingdom of Theos. Amen! I say to you, whoever not receives the Kingdom of Theos in the manner of a child not (in no way) enters into it.”
Luke
18.28: Now, Rock said, “LO! we went
forth from [left] everything and accompanied You.” Now, He said to all of them, “Amen! I say to you that there isn’t even one man (who has gone forth from house or
parents or brothers or gunaika [woman, wife] or children because of the
Kingdom of Theos) who shan’t fully receive many more in this time and in the
coming age, eternal life.”
Luke 21.29: And He told them a parable: “You see the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout (observe for yourselves), you know that (even now) summer is near. Thus, also, when you see these events being caused to be, know that the Kingdom of Theos is near. Amen! I say to you that not (in no way) will this generation pass away until all shall have been caused to be. The ouranos [sky, heavens] and the earth will pass away but My logoi not (in no way) will pass away.”
Luke 23.39: But one of the hanged wrongdoers eblasphemei [spoke irreverently, spoke profanely; blasphemed] Him, saying, “If You are the Christos, soson [make safe, save] Yourself and also us.” But answering, the other wrongdoer admonished him, saying,“You not even fear Theos because we are under the same sentence? and we in fact justly. We receive suitable for what we practiced but He not practiced even one thing amiss.” And he said to Jesus, “Kurie! remember me whenever You come into Your Kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Amen! I say to you, on this day (amidst Me), you will be in paradeiso [Paradise].”
James 5.19: Brothers! in case anyone in you is caused to stray from the truth and someone reverses him, know this, that the one reversing an hamartolon [misser of the mark or goal, one erring, one offending, one sinning] emergent from the fraudulence of his way, sosei [will make safe, will save] his psuchen [soul, life, psyche, ego] emergent from death and will cover up a fullness [crowd] of hamartion. Amen!
Mark 3.27: Not even one man isn’t able, having entered the house of a powerful man, to plunder his goods, unless he first binds the powerful man and then he will plunder his house. Amen! I say to you that all the hamarotemata of the sons of men will be apheimi [sent forth, forsaken, forgiven] and whatever much blasphemiai they have blasphemesosin but whoever blasphemmese into the Hagios Pneuma, he hasn’t pardon to the age; conversely, he is liable to a perpetual judgment.” (He said this because they said, “He [Jesus] has an impure pneuma.”)
Mark 8.11: And Pharisees issued forth and began to debate with Him, seeking a semeion [sign, indication] near [from] Him (from Ouranou [Heaven]), testing Him. And deeply sighing in His Pneumati [breath, spirit], He says, “Why searches this generation for a semeion? Amen! I say to you, this generation if will [won’t] be given a semeion!”
Matthew 26.73: Now, after a micron of time, those standing by approaching, said to Rock, “Amen! you also are emergent from the Same for even your lalia [tongue, speech, dialect] makes you clear.” Then is when he began to curse and swear, “I not know the Man!”
John 1.49: Nathaniel said to Him, “Rabbi! You are the Son of Theos! You are the King of Israel!” Jesus answered, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you have pisteueis in Me? You will see greater sights than these. Amen! Amen! I tell you, you will see Ouranon opened and the aggelous [messengers, angels] of Theos ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”
Revelation 1.7: LO! He comes amidst the cloudiness and every eye will gaze (with wide open eyes) upon the Same and [as well as] those who nailed the Same and all the offshoots [cultures] of the earth will chop [pound the breast in grief] over the Same. Yes! Amen!
Revelation 1.17: And when I saw the Same [Jesus], I fell forward (to His feet) as if dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, “Not fear! I AM the First and the Last and the living One! And I was caused to be dead and LO! I AM living to the ages of the ages. Amen! And I hold the keys of Hadou [Haides: Unseen, subterranean world of the dead, Hades] and of death.”
Revelation 3.14: “And to the aggelo of the ekklesias [assembly, church] in Laodicea, write: ‘These words says the Amen; the pistos and truthful Witness, the Chief of the Creation of Theos:
