EPAGGELIA
American: announcement, proclamation, promise
This
word has theological meaning, usually indicative of an emission by the Holy
Spirit.
Galatians 3.13: The
Christos [Anointed One, Messiah, Christ] redeemed us emergent from the
curse of The Law [Pentateuch, 1st five books
of Old Testament, Books of Moses] having been caused to be a
curse for us. For it has been written, “Cursed are all who have been hanged on timber.”
DEUTERONOMY 21.23: “…for he that is hanged on timber is to Elohiym [Theoi, the Trinity] accursed;”
[Galatians continues] This has happened in order that the eulogia [fine speaking, commendation, blessing, eulogy] of Abraham to the ethne [nations, races, non-Jews, gentiles] might be caused to come into being in Jesus, the Christo, in order that we might receive the epaggelian of the Hagios Pneuma via pistis [faith].
Acts
1: The first account I [Luke] made, O Theophilus [“Lover of God”],
concerning all that Jesus began both to do and to teach until the day that He
was taken up, having commanded the apostolois [delegates, ambassadors, apostles] whom He had selected
via the Hagios Pneuma. He also showed Himself to these living, after His
suffering, in many proofs via forty days, being wide-eyed stared at by them,
and speaking of the issues concerning the Kingdom of Theos.
Meeting amidst them, He communicated to them not to put space between themselves off Jerusalem, rather to stay around [await] the epaggelian
of the Father, “Which,” He said, “You
heard of [from] Me because John Bar
Zekaryahuw (in fact)
ebaptisen [immersed, submerged,
baptized] in
water but you baptisthesesthe [will be baptized] in the Hagios Pneuma not
after many of these days [not many days from now].”
Ephesians 1.3: Eulogetos [Fine spoken of, Commended, Blest, Praised] be the Theos and Father of our Kuriou Jesus (the Christou), Who blest us with all spiritual eulogesas above the sky [in Heaven], in Jesus (the Christo), as He selected us before the founding of the kosmou [universe, world, cosmos] to be hagious [holy, sacred, consecrated] and unblemished before Him. He was predestining us (in agape) to adoption via Jesus (the Christou), to Himself down [according] to His good pleasure and thelematos [determination, choice, decision, decree], to the praise of His glory and charitos [graciousness] with which He favored us in the Egapemeno [Beloved] in Whom we have redemption via Jesus’ blood; aphesin [forgiveness] of paraptomaton [side slips, lapses, deviations] down to the riches of the Father’s charitos. Which graciousness He caused to abound to us in all wisdom and intelligence, making known to us the musterion [secrets, mysteries] of His thelematos down to His good pleasure, which Father proposed (in Himself) for administration of the fullness of times, to head up all the ouranois [heavens] and the earth in the Christo. In Him [Jesus], we have been selected to be an inheritance, being predestined down to the purpose of the Father, all working down to His boulen [will, resolve, intention]; His thelematos for us to be His praise and glory, those having previously trusted in the Christo. In Him [Jesus], you were also hearing the logon [word] of truth, the euaggelion [good news, gospel, evangel] of your soterias [rescue, safety; salvation] and in Whom you pisteusantes [were also having reliance or faith]. You were sealed up with the epaggelias Hagios Pneuma, Who is the earnest [down payment, deposit] of our inheritance until the redemption of the possession to Jesus’ praise and glory.
2nd Peter 1.2: His godly dunameos [force, power] has bestowed upon us all, pertaining to life and godliness, via the full knowledge of the One calling us via His glory and manliness, via which He has bestowed the greatest and most precious epaggelmata to us in order that via these you might be caused to be koinonoi [sharers, partners] of the godly nature, escaping the decay (in lust) in the kosmo [universe, world, cosmos]. Now, for this very reason, also simultaneously introduce all spouden [speed, alacrity eagerness] in your pistei [faith]. Fully supply manliness and in your manliness, knowledge and in your knowledge self-control and in your self-control, cheerful endurance and in your cheerful endurance, godliness and in your godliness, philadelphian [brotherly love] and in your philadelphia, agapen [unconditional love].
1st John: I haven’t written to you because you don’t know the truth but because you do know it and because all pseudos [falsehoods, lies] aren’t emergent from the truth. [No lies are emergent from the truth.] Who is the liar if not the one avowing that Jesus isn’t the Christos? This is the antichristos, the one disavowing the Father and the Son. All disavowing the Son haven’t the Father either; the one acknowledging the Son also has the Father. Accordingly, let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you will abide both in the Son and in the Father. And [Now] this is the epaggelia which He epeggeilato to us, ETERNAL LIFE!
