This Koine Commercial Greek word is based on value; cash value. This comes as no surprise because the initial use of this language was in trade. As Koine Greek came into wider use, other qualities were included in this word; among them, esteem and dignity. Most published New Testaments use the word “honor”.

Romans 2.5: But because of your skleroteta [callous, hard] and impenitent heart, you are accumulating for yourself orgen [violent passion, fury, rage, wrath] in a day of orges and a revelation of the dikaiokarisias [right judgment] of Theos, Who will give to each one down [according] to his work. Theos will give to those (in fact) by cheerful endurance in good work (seeking glory, timen and incorruptibility [immortality]) eternal life but to those emergent from intrigue (even in fact willfully disbelieving the truth but approving injustice) He gives thumos [passion, anger, indignation] and orge. There will be stress and calamity for every psuche [soul, life, psyche, ego] of man working totally kakon [the worthless] (firstly for the Jew and also for the Greek) but glory, time and peace for everyone working good (firstly for the Jew and also for the Greek) for there isn’t partiality with Theos.
Romans 13.3: Rulers aren’t
a cause of fears to those doing good
works, but they are to the kakon [worthless].
Now, do you want not to fear authority? Do good and you will have praise
emergent from the same (for he is a servant of Theos for good to you) but in
case you do kakon [worthless], do fear! for he not eike [idly, vainly] wears
the sword (for he is a servant of Theos), a punisher to orgen of the one practicing kakon. Because of this,
it is necessary to be in subjection, not merely because of orgen; conversely,
because of conscience. For because of this, you also pay taxes, for they are
public servants of Theos, devoted to this very task. Then give to all their dues: to the one due the tax, give the

Luke
18.18: And a certain chief questioned Him, saying,
“Good
Teacher! what may I do to inherit eternal life?”
Now,
Jesus said to him,
“Why
do you say to Me, good? Not even one is good, except One – Theos! You know
the commands: not do moicheusos [adultery]! Not murder! Not steal! Not
falsely testify! Tima your father and your mother!”
Now,
he said,
“All
these commands I have kept emergent
from my youth.”
Now, hearing these words, Jesus said to him,
“Still one thing is lacking to you. Sell everything (as much as you have) and dole it out to the poor and you will have a deposit in Ourano [Heaven] and come and accompany Me!”
Acts 28.7: Now, in the territory around that spot were parcels of land of the chief of the island (by name Publius [Latin; “Popular” in American]), who (entertaining us for three days) hosted us with friendliness of mind. just, right]. Tima [value, esteem, revere] your father and
your mother, which is the first command with a promise in order that it may be
well with you, and you may be long-lived on the earth.
EXODUS 20.12: “Kabad [Honor] your father and your mother, so your days may be long on the land which YHWH (your Elohiym) is giving to you.”
1st Peter 2.13: Accordingly, subordinate yourselves (via the Kuriou) to all men of
the hierarchy; whether to a king as being superior; whether to leaders [governors]
