            When the planet earth begins to crumble, if we call out to Theos or appeal to Him or invoke His authority, we shall be saved from the destruction.

But this is that even being spoken via the prophetou Joel: ‘And it shall be in the final days,’ says Theos, ‘I will pour forth (from My Pneuma) upon all flesh and your sons and daughters propheteusousin [will before tell, will speak under inspiration, will prophesy] and your youths will stare wide-eyed at visions and your elders will dream dreams. And I will give terata [wonders, miracles] in the ourano [elevation, the heavens, the sky, aloft] above and semeia [signs, indications] upon the earth below; blood and fire and mist of smoke. The sunshine will be changed to shadowiness [an eclipse] and the moon into blood [an eclipse] prior to the coming of the megalen [big, large, huge, great] and notable Day of the Kuriou. And it shall be that all (whoever epikalesetai the name [authority] of the Kuriou) sothesetai [will be rescued, will be saved].’”

 

JOEL 2.28 “…It will be, afterward, I will pour forth My Qodesh Ruwach [Hagios Pneuma] upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will naba [prophetueo]. Your old will dream dreams. Your youths will see visions. And in those days (on both My male slaves and My female slaves), I will pour forth My Qodesh Ruwach. I will give mopheth [terata] in the sky and on the earth; blood and fire and timarah [pillars, columns] of smoke. The sun will be turned over to darkness and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and awesome Day of YHWH. For it will be that all who qara [call out to, appeal to, invoke] the name [authority] of YHWH malat [will be smooth, will be slippery, will escape], for in Mount Tsijon [Zion] and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,” as YHWH has said, “and deliverance among the survivors to whom YHWH qara [shall call out to].”

 

Acts 7.54 Now, hearing these words, they were cut in half [“to the quick”] in their hearts and ground their teeth over him. Now, being caused to be completely covered by the Hagios Pneuma (intently staring into the ouranon), he [Stephen] saw the glory of Theos and saw Jesus standing emergent from the right of Theos and he said,

"LO! I see the ouranous having been opened and the Son of Man standing emergent from the right of Theos.”

Now, shrieking a megale phone, they held their ears and unanimously surged upon him. And expelling him from the city, they stoned him. And the witnesses threw off their outer garments near the feet of a youth called Saul. And as they stoned Stephen, he epikaloumenon [called out to, appealed to, invoked], also saying,

“Kurie Jesus! receive my pneuma.”

Now, falling to his knees, he shrieked a megale phone,

“Kurie! not cause this hamartian [miss of the mark or goal; error, offense, sin] to stand to [against] them.”

And having said this, he fell asleep.

Lesson 89 Amplified -- EIKON

 EIKON

American: an image, a likeness, a statue, an icon

Hebrew Aramaic: tselem 

            When capitalized (in the Eastern Orthodox Church) this word denotes a sacred image or representation of Jesus, His mother Mary, or a saint. The Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches’ dogma deems sainthood as an elevation conferred by the Church. If one reads the word “hagios” in the Koine Greek New Blood Covenant, the reader discovers that all who claim salvation through the bloody sacrifice, suffering, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus the Christ (on their behalf), are called the “hagioi” [holy ones, saints].

1st Corinthians 15.45: So also, it has been written,

“The first man, Adam, was caused to be into a living psuche.”

 

GENESIS 2.7: YHWH Elohiym [Triune God] formed Adam of dust from the ground and blew into his nostrils neshamah [breath] of life and Adam was caused to be a living nephesh [psuche].

 

Paul continues: The final Adam [Jesus] was caused to be into a life-giving Pneuma. Conversely, the spiritual body not firstly came but the sensual; thereafter came the spiritual. The first man was emergent from the soil, earthly; the second Man (the Kurios) was emergent from Ouranou [Heaven]. As is the dirty man, so also are the dirty ones. And as is the above-the-sky [Heavenly] Man, so also are the above-the-sky ones. And as we bore the eikon of the dirty man, we shall also bear the eikona of the above-the-sky Man.

 

2nd Corinthians 3.17: Now, the Kurios is pneuma and where the Hagios Pneuma of the Kuriou is, there is freedom. But we all, having been totally unveiled, our faces mirror the glory of the Kuriou and we ourselves are being metamorphosed into the same eikona from glory into glory, exactly as from the Kuriou’ Hagios Pneuma.

 

2nd Corinthians 4: Therefore, holding this service, as I received compassion, I not weaken. Conversely, I have renounced the shameful krupta [concealed, hidden, secret], not walking in craftiness nor ensnaring the logos of Theos; conversely, myself presenting the exhibition [manifestation] of the truth to the consciences of all men before the face of Theos. But if my euaggelion is indeed being covered up, it is covered up in those perishing whose perception the theos of this age has blinded; those apiston [without faith] to whom not beams forth on them the illumination of the euaggeliou of the glory of the Christou, Who is the human eikon of Theos.

 

Romans 1:18: For the orge [violent passion, fury, rage, wrath] of Theos (from Ouranou) is uncovered upon all impiety and injustice of men suppressing the truth in injustice because the well-known truth concerning Theos is shining [apparent] in them for Theos revealed it to them. From the original forming of the kosmou [universe, world, cosmos], the invisible attributes of Him (both His eternal dunamis [force, power] and divinity) have been fully beheld [clearly seen], being noieo [considered, understood] through observation of the things being created in order that they be without excuse. Even though having known Theos, they not glorified Him as Theos nor were they eucharistesan [expressing gratitude, giving thanks] to Theos; conversely, they were rendered foolish in their reasoning and the unintelligence of their hearts was obscured. Professing to be wise, they became foolish and changed the glory of the imperishable, eternal Theos into a resemblance of an eikonos of perishable man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles. 

Romans 8.28: Now, we know that everything works together toward good to those agaponton [unconditionally loving] Theos (to those being invited down to His intention [purpose]) because whom He beforehand knew, He also predetermined, jointly formed to the eikonos of His Son toward Him to be the first-born among many brothers. But whom He predetermined, these He also called, these He also edikaiosen [rendered just] and whom He edikaiose, these He also rendered glorious. 

Colossians 1.9: Via this [From the day we heard of your unconditional love in the Holy Spirit], we also don’t pause [stop] proseuchomenoi [humbly begging of God, praying] to Theos over you and asking that you be made replete [complete] in recognition of His thelematos [determination, choice, decision, decree] in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. And that you be made to walk appropriately of the Kuriou, compliant to all in every good work; that you are being fertile and growing into the recognition of Theos in all dunamei, being empowered [enabled] down [according] to the great vigor of His glory to all a hupomonen [cheerful endurance] and makrothumian [forbearing, patiently restraining]; that you amidst joy eucharistountes [are gratefully giving thanks] to the Father to qualify us to the portion of the lot of the hagion in the Light. Colossians 3.5: Accordingly, make your limbs [members] upon the earth dead to porneian [depravity], impurity, pathos {passion}, lust], kakia [worthlessness] and avarice which is idolatry for which activities the orge of Theos is coming upon the sons of apeitheias [willful disbelief] in [among] whom you (then) also walked when you were living in these worthless practices. But now, also you must put them all aside: orgen, thumon [passion, anger, indignation], kakian, blasthemian [speaking irreverently, profanely; blaspheming]; vile conversation emergent from your mouths. There is great power in the prayer of a person who is right with Theos, according to the New Blood Covenant. This is not easily understood because we know that Theos exercises thelema, that is He decides and decrees and yet, He wants us to ask.

Philippians 1.3: I always eucharisto [express gratitude, give thanks] to my Theos over all my remembrance of you in all my deesei over you, amidst all joy making the deesin over your koinonia [sharing, partnership] into the euaggelion [good news, gospel, evangel] from the first day that you heard it until now; being convinced of this very thing, that He having begun a good work in you will fulfill [finish] it until the day of Jesus, the Christou [Anointed One, Mashiyach, Messiah, Christ]. 

Philippians 4.4: Always chairete [be cheerful, rejoice] in the Kurio! Again, I will say, chairete! Let your propriety [decorum] be known to all men. The Kurios is near. Not be anxious about even one thing! Acts 8.20: But Rock said to him, “May your silver (together with you) be into destruction because you proposed to get the gratuity [free gift] of Theos via money. There isn’t a portion (nor a lot) for you in this Logos for your heart isn’t true before the face of Theos. Therefore, metanoeo [think differently, turnabout 180⁰, repent] from this badness of yours and deomai Theos if perhaps the purpose of your heart will be aphethesetai [sent forth, forsaken, forgiven] you for I see you being into the bile of bitterness and a bond of injustice.” Now answering, Simon said, “You deomai over me to the Kurios so that not even one word (of what you have spoken) will happen to me.” 

Acts 10: Now, a certain man was in Caesarea Maritima (Cornelius by name), a centurion emergent from [over] a cohort [Roman military unit of 300 to 600 men] being called “The Italian” cohort. He was well-reverent and fearing Theos with all his household, both doing many beneficences to the people and deomenos to Theos via all. He clearly saw in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day [3 PM], an aggelon [messenger, angel] of Theos entering toward him and saying to him, “Cornelius!” 

James 5.13: Endures hardship any in [among] you? Let him proseuchestho [humbly beg of God, pray]. Is any joyful? Let him psalleto [play a stringed instrument while singing praise music]. Is any infirm in you? Let him summon the elders of the ekklesias [assembly, church] and let them proseuxasthosan [pray] over him (having first anointed him with olive oil) in the name [authority] of the Kuriou. Ephesians 6.16: In [Above] all, having taken up the shield of pisteos [reliance, faith] in which you will be able to quench all the having-been-made-fiery darts [arrows] of the ponerou [hurtful] one, take up the helmet of soteriou [rescue, safety, salvation], and the sword of the Hagios Pneuma (which is the rhema [utterance] of Theos), via all proseuches [prayers] and deeseos [making petitions, making requests, making prayers], at all times proseuchomenoi [praying] in the Hagios Pneuma and keeping awake to this same in all persistence and deesei concerning the hagion [holy ones, sacred ones, consecrated ones, saints]. 

1^st Timothy 2: Accordingly (first of all), I parakalo [call near, invite, urge, exhort, encourage] that deeseis, proseuchas, supplications and eucharistias to Theos be made on behalf of all men (on behalf of kings and all those in prominence) in order that we may all lead a tranquil and sedate life in all piety and venerableness. 

1^st Peter 10: For one wanting to agapan [unconditionally love] life and to know good days, let him stop his tongue from kakia [worthless] speaking; also, his lips not to utter deceit. Let him shun the kakou and let him do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it because the eyes of the Kuriou are upon the dikaious and His ears are open to their deesin. But the face of the Kuriou is above [against] those doing kakia. 

PSALM 34.12: Who is the man who desires life, loving length of days, to see good, guard your tongue from bad and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn off from bad and do good. Search for shalom [safety, peace, health, happiness, prosperity, friendship] and run after it for the eyes of YHWH are upon the tsaddiyq [dikaios] and His ears are open to their yoohooing, but the face of YHWH is against doers of bad …

Galatians 2: Then, via [after] fourteen years, I again went up to Jerusalem with Joses [“Aid”] Bar Nabas and also taking along Titus [“Honorable”]. Now, I went up, down to [because of] a revelation and I put before them the euaggelion [good news, evangel, gospel] that I kerusso [proclaim, herald] in [among] the ethnoi [nations, races, non-Jews, gentiles] but privately to those seeming to be pillars lest somehow (leaping into vanity) I run, or I ran. 1^st Timothy 4: Now, the Hagios Pneuma distinctly says that (in later times) some will desist from the pisteos, paying attention to vagrant pneumasi [spirits] and teachings of demons. In pseudologon [lying] hupokrisei [deceit, hypocrisy], having their conscience cauterized, they are barring marriage and advocating abstaining from foods which Theos made to participation amidst eucharistias [gratefully giving thanks] by those pistois [trustworthy, faithful] and recognizing the truth. For every creation of Theos is kalon [beautiful, virtuous] and not even one thing is to be cast off. Having been received amidst euchariston, it is hagiazetai [made holy, sanctified] via the Logou of Theos and enteuxis [supplication, prayer]. 

1^st John 2.18: Youths! it is the final hour and just as you heard that the antichristos is coming, even now many antichristoi have come to be, from which you know that this is the final hour. They issued forth emergent from us, but they weren’t emergent from us for if they were emergent from us, they would have abode amidst us but in order that it might be rendered apparent that not all of them are emergent from us, they went forth from us. Now, you have an anointing from the Hagios One and you know all. I haven’t written to you because you don’t know the truth but because you do know it and because all pseudos aren’t emergent from the truth. [No lies are emergent from the truth.] Who is the liar if not the one avowing that Jesus isn’t the Christos? This is the antichristos, the one disavowing the Father and the Son. All disavowing the Son haven’t the Father either; the one acknowledging the Son also has the Father. Accordingly, let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you will abide both in the Son and in the Father. And [Now] this is the epaggelia [announcement, proclamation, promise] which He epeggeilato to us, eternal life! These words I have written to you concerning those causing you to stray. Also, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you and you haven’t need that anyone teach you; rather His anointing teaches you concerning all and is true and isn’t pseudos. Just as He taught you, abide in Him! And now, babes! abide in Him in order that whenever He is rendered apparent [returns?], we may have all outspokenness [frankness] and not be disgraced from Him in His being present. If you know that He is dikaios [equitable, right, just], know that everyone doing His dikaiosunen [equity, justification, rightness] has been begotten emergent from Him. 

Revelation 21.22: And I not saw a temple in it for the Pantokrator [all-ruling, almighty, omnipotent] Kurios is the Temple of it; also, the Lamb. And the city hasn't need of the sun nor of the moon in order that they lighten in it for the glory of Theos brightened it up and its Lamp is the Lamb. And the ethne of those sozouenon [made safe, saved] will walk all around in the light of It. And the sovereigns of the earth bear their glory and timen [value, esteem] into it. And the gates of it may not (in no way) be closed by day for night won't be there and they will bear the glory and timen of the ethnon into it. Revelation 22.14: “Makarioi [Supremely blest] are those doing His commands in order that theirs will be the privilege of the Tree of Life and they may enter the gates into the city. Certainly, deception is great wickedness and much of the New Blood Covenant contains warnings to reject the hypocritical.

A mathetes [learner, pupil, disciple] isn’t above his teacher but having been thoroughly completed, all will be as their teachers. Now, why do you look at the straw in the eye of your brother but not perceive the timber in your own eye? Or how are you able to say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me eject the straw in your eye,’ while you not look at the timber in your own eye. Hupokrita! first eject the timber emergent from your own eye and then (when you recover full vision) eject the straw in your brother’s eye. 

Luke 11.42: [Jesus speaking] “Conversely, woe [grief] to you, Pharisees because you tithe the mint and the rue and every plant and pass by [miss] the krisin [decision, judgment rendered, verdict] and you miss the agapen of Theos. These you must do and likewise, those not aphiemai [send forth, forsake, forgive]. Woe to you Pharisees because you agapate the chief seat in the synagogue and the greetings in the marketplace! Woe to you Pharisee grammateis [writers, recorders, scribes, secretaries], hupokritai! because you are as the hidden tombs and the men are walking all around over them, not knowing they are there.” 

Luke 12: In that the assembled thousands of the throng also trampled down one another, He began to say to His mathetas, “Firstly, pay attention to [guard] yourselves from the ferment [leaven] of the Pharisees which same is hupokrisis. Now, not one thing being completely concealed is [exists], which won’t be uncovered, and private, which won’t be absolutely known. Instead, that as much as you said in obscurity, it will be heard in luminousness and what you spoke to the ear in a private room will be keruchthesetai [proclaimed, heralded] upon the housetops.

 

Luke 12.54: Now, He also said to the throngs, “Whenever you see a cloud arising from the west, you directly say, ‘A thunderstorm is coming’ and it is caused to be so. And whenever a south wind is strongly blowing, you say that it will be glaring [hot] and it is caused to be. Hupokritai! you know how to test the face of the ouranou [elevations, the heavens, the sky, aloft] and the earth but how come you not test this time? Now, why don’t you distinguish the dikaion [equitable, just, right] even off [among] yourselves? For in the manner that you lead away (amidst [with] your adversary) to a chief, in [on] the way give efforts [try] to be released [freed] from him, lest he drag you down toward a judge and the judge will surrender you to the official collector and the official collector throw you into confinement. I say to you, not (in no way) may you issue from there until you give up [pay] the last lepton [cent].”

 

Luke 13.13: And He put His hands on her, and she instantly was straightened up and she glorified Theos. But the director of the synagogue services (being indignant that on the sabbath Jesus had cured the woman) said to the assemblage, “Six days they [there] are in which one must work. Accordingly, in these days be coming to be cured and not on the day of the sabbath.” Accordingly, the Kurios answered him and said, “Hupokrita [Deceiver, Hypocrite]! Don’t each of you, on the sabbath, untie your ox or your ass from the manger and lead them off to give them a drink? Now, this woman being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satanas bound Lo! eighteen years! mustn’t she be loosed from this bond [shackle] on the day of the sabbath?”

 

1st Timothy 4: Now, the Hagios Pneuma distinctly says that (in later times) some will desist from the pisteos [trustworthy, faithful], paying attention to vagrant pneumasi [spirits] and teachings of demons. In pseudologon [lying] hupokrisei, having their conscience cauterized, they are barring marriage and advocating abstaining from foods which Theos made to participation amidst eucharistias [gratefully giving thanks] by those pistois [trustworthy, faithful] and recognizing the truth. For every creation of Theos is kalon [beautiful, virtuous] and not even one thing is to be cast off. Having been received amidst euchariston, it is hagiazetai [made holy, sanctified] via the Logou [Word] of Theos and enteuxis [supplication, prayer]. 

Mark 7.5: Therefore, the Pharisees and the grammateis question Him, “Why don’t Your mathetai walk down to the transmissions of the elders? conversely, they eat bread with unwashed hands.” Now, answering them, He said to them, “Isaiah kalos [beautifully, virtuously] propheteusen [before told, prophesied] concerning you, the hupokriton [stage actors]. Just as it has been written, ‘This people prize Me with their lips but keep their heart far away from Me, but they revere Me in futility, teaching the commands of men as teachings.’” 

1st Peter 2: Accordingly, putting away all kakian [worthlessness], all dolon [decoying, trickery], all hupokriseis and all phthonous [ill will, spite] and all defamation, as newborn infants yearn for true logikon [logical, rational] milk in order that you may grow in it; if perhaps you have tasted that the Kurios is chrestos [useful]. Drawing near to Him (a living Stone), (in fact) under men having been rejected, but in the proximity [sight] of Theos, select [elect] -- precious. You also, as living stones, are being constructed into a spiritual dwelling, a hagion [holy, sacred, consecrated] priestly fraternity, to offer up spiritual sacrifices well-received by Theos via Jesus, the Christou. For this is also included in the Graphe [Scripture, part of Old Testament]: “Lo! I place in Zion an elect, precious Cornerstone. The one pisteuon [having faith] upon Him shan’t at all be shamed down.” 

Matthew 6.2: [Jesus speaking] “Accordingly, when you do compassionate deeds, don’t trumpet before you, just as the hupokritai do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Amen! I say to you, they have their wages in full. But you (when doing compassionate deeds) not let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that you may do your compassionate deeds in secret and your Father, seeing them in secret, the Same will give back to you in public.” 

Matthew 23.27: [Jesus speaking] “Woe to you! grammateis and Pharisees! hypocritai! because you resemble whitewashed crypts which indeed externally appropriately shine but inside swell out with bones of the dead and all impurity. In this way indeed you also externally shine (as if dikaioi) to men but inside you are replete with hupokriseos and illegality.”

JOEL 2.28: “… afterward It will be, I will pour forth My Ruwach [Pneuma] upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will naba [prophetueo]. Your old will dream dreams. Your youths will see visions. And in those days (on both My male slaves and My female slaves), I will pour forth My Ruwach. I will give mopheth in the sky and on the earth, blood and fire and timarah [pillars, columns] of smoke. The sun will be turned over to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and awesome Day of YHWH. Acts 2.43: And fear was caused to be in every psuche [soul, life, psyche, ego] and many terata and semeia were caused to be via the apostolon.

 

Acts 5.12: Now, semeia and terata were caused to be in many people via the hands of the apostolon and they were all homothumadon [unanimous, with one mind] in the Temple’s Porch of Solomon. Now, of the remaining ones, not even one dared to be joined to them, conversely, the people magnified [declared great] them. Now, more were added, throngs both of men and of gunaikon [women], pisteuontes [putting their faith in] the Kurio, such that they carried out the strengthless and placed them upon couches and upon mattresses down the wide plats [places] in order that (while he was coming [passing]) Rock’s shadow might overshadow some of those.
