Lesson 101 Amplified -- PRAYER

 EUCHOMAI

American: to wish, implies praying

ENTEUXIS

American: an interview, a supplication, a prayer

DEESIS

American: a petition, a request, a prayer

DEOMENOS

American: begging, petitioning, beseeching, praying

PROSEUCHE

American: humbly begging of God, praying

Hebrew Aramaic: tellipah

PROSEUCHOMAI

American: to humbly beseech God, to pray

Hebrew Aramaic: papal

See how many words for prayer are used in the New Blood Covenent. Perhaps this emphasizes Father’s ordering us to pray? In Paul’s first letter to the Christians in Thessalonica [5.17] he says we should continually pray.

Almost Greek (Words in italics are translator’s additions.)

2nd Corinthians 13.5: Examine yourselves to see if you pistei [are faithful]. Or don’t you yourselves perceive that Jesus, the Christos [Anointed One, Messiah, Christ], is in you unless you are unapproved [failed the test]. I elpizo [expect, hope] that you will know that we aren’t unapproved. I euchomai to Theos that you not do kakon [worthlessness]; not even one hamartia [miss of the mark or goal; error, offense, sin]; not in order that I may appear approved but in order that you may do kalon [beautiful, virtuous] even though I appear to be unapproved. For I can’t do down to [can do nothing against] the truth, conversely, only for the truth. I rejoice when I am feeble, but you are dunatoi [forceful, powerful]. I also euchometha for this -- your thorough completion.

3rd John 1: The Elder to Gaius the agapetos [unconditionally beloved], whom I agape in truth:

Agapete! I euchomai for you to prosper everywhere and to be healthy, just as your psuche [soul, life, psyche, ego] prospers for I greatly rejoiced at the brothers coming and testifying of your truthfulness; that you walk in truth. I haven’t greater joy than this, that my children are walking in truth.

1st Timothy 4.4: For every creation of Theos is kalon and not even one thing is to be cast off. Having been received amidst euchariston [gratefulness, thankfulness], it is hagiazetai [made holy, sanctified] via the Logou [Word, Jesus] of Theos and enteuxis.

James 5.13: Endures hardship any in [among] you? Let him proseuchestho. Is any joyful? Let him play praise music. Is any infirm in you? Let him summon the elders of the ekklesias [assembly, church] and let them proseuxasthosan over him (having first anointed him with olive oil) in the name [authority] of the Kuriou. The euche [prayer] of pisteos  [faith] sosei [will make safe, will save] those kamnonta [toiling; as if fatigued by toil, i.e. suffering] and the Kurios will waken him and if he might have done hamartias, it will be sent forth [forgiven] him. Acknowledge your paraptomata [sideslips, lapses, deviations] to one another and euchesthe [pray] over one another whatever how [in order that] you may be healed. A deesis of one who is dikaiou [equitable, just, right] greatly ischuei [has force, has power] being made effective by God. Elias [in Hebrew; “Elijah” in English; “Whose God is YHWH”] was a man similarly affected [influenced] as us and in proseuche, he proseuxato for it not to wet [shower, rain] and it not rained upon the earth for three years and six months. He proseuxato once more; the ouranos gave rain and the earth sprouted its fruit.

1st Timothy 2: Accordingly, first of all I parakalo [urge, exhort, encourage] that deeseis, proseuchas, supplications and eucharistias [grateful giving of thanks] to Theos be made on behalf of all men (on behalf of kings and all those in prominence) in order that we may all lead a tranquil and sedate life in all piety and venerableness.

2nd Corinthians 1.9: Conversely, we [I] have the sentence of death in ourselves [myself] in order that we [I] shouldn't convince [rely upon] ourselves [myself], conversely, to rely upon Theos (the One awakening the dead) Who rescued us [me] emergent from so great a death as this (and still does [continues to] rescue me) and in Whom we [I] elpikamen [have expectation, have hope] that even yet, He will rescue me; you also co-working with us [me] in deesie in order that (emergent from many faces) eucharistethe [grateful thanks to Theos] may be expressed via many for us [me] for our [my] charisma

[gift, endowment, faculty, deliverance] from the Father.

2nd Corinthians 9.12: For the digging [plowing] of this service isn’t merely fully filling up the deficits of the hagion [saints], conversely, also superabounding via many eucharistion [gratefully giving thanks] to Theos. Via [Because] of your standing the test of this service, they will glorify Theos over your submission to and acknowledgment toward [of] the euaggelion [good news, gospel, evangel] of the Christou and the liberality of your koinonias [sharing, partnership] toward them and toward the whole world. They yearn for you with deesei for you because of the beyond-the-usual charin [graciousness] of Theos upon you. But grateful charin [thanks] to Theos for His ineffable gift!

Philippians 1.3: I always eucharisto [express gratitude, give thanks] to my Theos over all my remembrance of you in all my deesei over you, amidst all joy making the deesin over your koinonia into the euaggelion from the first day that you heard it until now; being convinced of this very thing, that He having begun a good work in you will fulfill [finish] it until the day of Jesus, the Christou.

Philippians 1.18: For what do I remain bound? in order that yet in every way (whether in pretense or in truth) the Christos is kataggelletai [promulgated, published, officially made known] and I rejoice in this. And furthermore, I will rejoice for I know that this will result into soterian [rescue, safety, salvation] for me via your deeseos and the contribution [provision] of the Hagios Pneuma of Jesus, the Christou, down [according] to my intense anticipation and my elpida [expectation, hope]: that in not even one thing shall I be disgraced, conversely, that in all outspokenness [frankness], the Christou will now be declared great in my somamati [body] as always, whether via life or via death. For to me to live is the Christos and to die is gain but if I am to live on in the flesh, this will be to me fruitful work and I not know which I should choose for myself. For I am hard pressed emergent from the two choices, having much stronger the longing to depart and to be with the Christo but to remain in the flesh is necessary via [for] you. And being convinced of this, I know that I will stay with all of you for your progress and joy of your pisteos [reliance, faith], in order that your boast may superabound in Jesus, the Christo, (Him in me) via my return again to you.

Philippians 4.4: Always chairete [be cheerful, rejoice] in the Kurio! Again, I will say, chairete! Let your propriety [decorum] be known to all men. The Kurios is near. Not be anxious about even one thing! Conversely, in everything (by proseuche and deesei amid eucharistias [gratefully giving thanks] to Him, let your requests be made known to Theos. Also, the peace of Theos which surpasses all noun [intellect, mind, understanding] will be the vanguard [scout, guide] of your hearts and your minds in Jesus, the Christo.

Luke 21.34: [Jesus speaking] “Now, watch yourselves! so you don’t burden your hearts in headaches and intoxication and the distractions of this life and suddenly that day confront you. For it will come as a pagis [trap, snare] upon all those residing upon the face of all the earth. Accordingly, you be wide awake in all the time, deomenoi [begging, petitioning, beseeching, praying] in order that you may be deemed entirely deserving to escape all these events about to be caused to be and to stand in front of the Son of Man.”

Acts 1.12: Then, they returned to Jerusalem off the mountain being called “Olive-orchard” [Mount of Olives] which is near Jerusalem, only a sabbath’s-having journey away. When they had entered Jerusalem, they went up into the upper room where they were residing; both Rock and James [“the Just”] Bar Joseph, also James and John Bar Zebedee, also Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Nathaniel Bar Tolmai, Matthew Levi, James (the Less [the younger]) Bar Alphaeus, Judas [Jude] Bar Alphaeus (the brother of James) and Simon the Zealot. These all were persistently unanimous in proseuche and deesei, jointly spoken with the gunaixi [women] and Mary (the mother of Jesus) and His half-brothers.

Acts 10: Now a certain man was in Caesarea Maritima (Cornelius by name) a centurion emergent from [over] a cohort [Roman military unit of 300 to 600 men] being called “The Italian” cohort. He was well-reverent and fearing Theos (with all his household) both doing many beneficences to the people and deomenos to Theos via all. He clearly saw in a vision (about the ninth hour of the day [3 PM]) an aggelon [messenger, angel] of Theos entering toward him and saying to him, “Cornelius!” Now he was intently staring at him and being caused to be frightened; he said, “What is it kurie?” Now he said to him, “Your proseuchai and your beneficences have gone up to a reminder [memorial] before the face of Theos. And now dispatch men to Joppa to summon [invite] Simon (who is entitled Rock). The same is a guest with a certain Simon (a tanner) whose is a house near the sea. The same will tell you what you must do.”

Hebrews 5.7: Jesus, Who in the days of His flesh offering both entreaties and deeseis to the One being able sozein [to make safe, to save] Him out of death (with strong crying and tears) and being heard from because of His reverent fear (though being a Son), He learned obedience from that which He suffered and having been perfected, He was caused to be the cause of eternal soterias to all those attentively listening to Him, having been called out by Theos as a high priest down to the order of Melchizadek.

Ephesians 6.11: Put on the whole armor of Theos to be able to stand against the wiles of the diabolou [leader to shame, devil, satyr] because it isn’t us wrestling against flesh and blood but against the chiefs, against the forces, against the kosmos-rulers of the shadiness of this age; against the pneumatika [spiritual] powers of ponerias [whoring, committing incest, doing non-marital sexual intercourse] above the sky! Because of this, take up the whole armor of Theos in order that you may be able to stand against [oppose] in the ponera [hurtful] day and having worked out all, to stand. Stand then, having girded about your loins with truth

ISAIAH 11.5 [about Jesus] Rightness shall be the belt of His waist and fidelity the belt of His loins.

and putting on the breastplate of dikaiosunes [equity, justification, rightness]

ISAIAH 59.17: [YHWH speaking] He put on tsidqah [dikaiosune] like armor and a helmet of yeshuwah [soteria] on His head.

and having shod your feet in the preparation of the euaggeliou of peace.

ISAIAH 52.7: YHWH says, “LO! how suitable [appropriate] on the mountain of God are the feet of him bringing glad news, making shalom [safety, peace, health, happiness, prosperity, friendship] heard, bringing news of good, making heard yeshuwah [soteria], saying to Zion, ‘Your Elohiym reigns.’”

In [Above] all, having taken up the shield of pisteos [reliance, faith] in which you will be able to quench all the having-been-made-fiery darts [arrows] of the ponerou [hurtful] one, take up the helmet of soteriou [rescue, safety, salvation], and the sword of the Hagios Pneuma (which is the rhema [utterance] of Theos), via all proseuches and deeseos, at all times proseuchomenoi in the Hagios Pneuma and keeping awake to this same in all persistence and deesei concerning the hagion [saints].

1st Thessalonians 1.2: We always eucharistoumen to Theos concerning you all, continually making mention of you in our proseuchon, remembering your work of pistis, draining effort of agape [unconditional love] and the cheerful endurance of our Kurios Jesus, the Christos, before our Theos and Father; knowing your election, brothers, you having been egapemenois [unconditionally loved] by Theos.

1st Thessalonians 5.14: We encourage you, Brothers, parakaloumen [call near, invite, urge, exhort, encourage, solace] the insubordinate, console the faint-hearted, care for the weak, be long-suffering toward all. See that not even one person returns kakon [worthless] for kakou [worthless] to anyone but always pursue the good both toward one another and toward all. Always rejoice! Continually proseuchesthe! Eucharisteite in all for this is the thelema [determination, choice, decision, decree] of Theos (in the Christos Jesus) to you. Don’t quench the Hagios Pneuma! Don’t despise propheteia [before-speaking, prophesy]! Test everything; firmly hold the kalos; keep back from every form of ponerou [hurtful].

Romans 8.26: In the same way, the Hagios Pneuma also joins in to help overcome our feebleness. For we not precisely know what we make proseuxometha as is necessary, conversely, the Hagios Pneuma Himself intercedes on our behalf with ineffable sighs.

Luke 3.21: Now, it was caused to be that in the baptisthenai [immersion, submersion, baptism] of all the people, Jesus also was being baptisthentos by John and was proseuchoumenou and the ouranon [the heavens, the sky] was opened up and the Hagios Pneuma came down upon Him in somatiko [bodily] form as a pigeon [dove] and a phone [sound, tone, noise, voice] was caused to be emergent from the ouranou, saying, “YOU ARE My Son, the Agapetos. I AM proud of You.”

Luke 6.12: Now, it was caused to be in those days that He [Jesus] went forth into the Mount of Olives proseuxasthai [to humbly beseech God, to pray]. And He was staying up the whole of the night in proseuche of Theos.

Luke 22.39: And going forth, as usual He went down to the Mount of Olives. Now, the mathetai [learners, pupils, disciples] also followed Him. Now, coming upon the place, He said to them,

Proseuchesthe that you will not enter into testing.”

And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw and placing His knees on the ground, He proseucheto, saying,

“Father, if You boulei [will, resolve, intend], carry away this cup off [from] Me. But not My thelema [determination, choice, decision, decree], conversely Your thelema be caused to be.”

Now, they stared with wide open eyes upon an aggelos from Ouranou [Heaven] strengthening Him. And being caused to be in agonia [a struggle, anguish, agony], He more intently proseucheto. Now, His sweat was caused to be as if clots of blood falling down upon the earth. And standing up from proseuches (coming toward His mathetas), He found them fallen asleep (from their grief) and said to them,

“Why do you sleep? Standing up, proseuchesthe in order that you not enter into testing.”

Lesson 100 Amplified -- HAGIOSMOS

 HAGIOSMOS

American: holiness, purity

HAGIOSUNE

American: state of being holy, state of belonging to Theos

In Amplified Lesson 17, we studied those labelled by Theos as holy. Here we continue the study to examine this state of existence.

Almost Greek (Words in italics are translator’s additions.)

1st Thessalonians 3.11 May He, our Theos and Father Himself and our Kurios Jesus, the Christos, direct my way to you. May the Kurios make you abound and superabound in agape toward one another and toward all, even as also me toward you. May He sterixai [securely set, make steadfast] your hearts, blameless in hagiosune, before our Theos and Father and in front of our Kurios Jesus, the Christos [Anointed One, Messiah, Christ], with all his Hagioi [holy ones, sacred ones, consecrated ones, saints].

1st Thessalonians 4: Finally then, brothers, we request of you and parakaloumen [call near, invite, urge, exhort, encourage, solace] you in the Kurios Jesus, even as you received from us how it is necessary to walk and to please Theos in order that you superabound the more. For you know what commands we gave to you via the Kurios Jesus. For this is the thelema [determination, choice, decision, decree] of Theos -- your purification: for you to abstain from porneia [whoring, incest, non-marital sexual intercourse], for each one of you knows how to possess his own vessel [body] in hagiasmos and time [value, esteem], not in passion of forbidden desire as the ethnoi [nations, races, non-Jews, gentiles] not knowing Theos. Not shall you climb over or be covetous of your brother in a deed because the Kurios is the Ekdikos [One meting out justice] concerning all these as indeed we earnestly testified and forewarned you. For Theos not called us to impurity, but in hagiasmos. So those despising you, not despise man but Theos, the One giving His Hagios Pneuma to You.

2nd Thessalonians 2.13: I ought always eucharistein [express gratitude to, give thanks to] Theos concerning you, brothers, egapemeoi [having been unconditionally loved] by the Kurios, because Theos chose you from the beginning to soteria [rescue, safety, salvation] in hagiasmos of the Hagios Pneuma and conviction of the truth to which He called you, via my euaggelion, [good news, gospel, evangel] to acquisition of the glory of our Kurios Jesus, the Christos. So then, stand firm, brothers, and firmly grip the transmittals that you were taught either by logos [word] or by a letter of mine.

2nd Corinthians 6.14: “Therefore, come forth emergent from the middle of them [those willfully disbelieving] and be separated,” says the Kurios, “and do not attach yourselves to the impure and I will receive you and I will be to you for a Father, and you will be to Me for sons and daughters,”

says the Kurios pantokrator [all-ruling, almighty, omnipotent].

ISAIAH 52.11: [YHWH speaking] “Turn off! Turn off! Go out from there! Not touch the foul! Go out from her midst! Distance yourself! Arise, the prepared of YHWH and I will take you into My favor and I will be to you a Father and you will be to Me for sons and daughters.”

HOSEA 2.1: [YHWH] “… it shall be said to them, ‘Sons of the living El [Theos].’”

[Paul continues] Having then these epaggelias [announcements, proclamations, promises], agapetoi, let us cleanse ourselves from all stains of flesh and of the Hagios Pneuma fulfill hagiosunen in the fear of Theos.

Romans 6.19: I speak as a man due to the feebleness of your flesh for just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness toward lawlessness, in this way now you present your members as slaves to dikaiosune [equity, justification, rightness] toward hagiasmon. Because you were slaves of hamartias [missing the mark or goal; error, offense, sin], you were free to dikaiosune. Accordingly, what fruit had you (at that time) over which now you feel ashamed? for the telos [end the point aimed at, the end of this age] of those fruits is death. But now, having been freed off hamartias (having been enslaved to Theos), you have your fruit toward hagiasmon and the telos, eternal life. For the wages of hamartias is death but the free charisma [gift, endowment, faculty, deliverance] of Theos is eternal life in our Kurio Jesus, the Christo.

Hebrews 2.5: For He didn’t subject the coming habitable land (about which I speak) to aggelois [messengers, angels], but somewhere one solemnly testified, saying “What is man that You remember [are mindful of] him, or the son of man, that You observe him? You made Him [Jesus] a little less than the aggelous. You crowned Him with time [value, esteem dignity] and glory, and You set Him over the works of Your hands. You subjected all under His feet.” For in order to subject all to Him, He left not even one thing not subjected to Him but now we don’t yet see all having been subjected to Him. But we do see Jesus, having been made a little less than the aggelous, so (by the chariti [graciousness] of Theos) He might taste death for everyone because of His suffering and death, having been crowned with glory and with time [value, esteem, dignity]. For it was fitting for Him (because of Whom all exists) bringing many sons to glory; to perfect Him (the Author of their soterias) via going through suffering. For both He hagiazon [making holy] and the ones hagizoneboi [being made holy] are all of one for which reason He isn’t ashamed to call them brothers, saying, “I will apaggelo [announce, proclaim] Your name, Father, to My brothers and I humneso [will hymn to, will sing praises to] You in the midst of the ekklesias [assemblies, churches].”

PSALM 22.22: [Jesus speaking] “I will celebrate Your name to My brothers. I will halal [praise] You among the assembly.”

Hebrews 10.5: …“Thusia [animal sacrifice] and prosphoran [a presentation, a present, a gift] You not desired but You prepared a human body for Me. You weren’t pleased with whole-consumed [burnt offerings] and thusia as to hamartias. Then I said, ‘LO! I come’ (It has been written about Me In the heading of the Bibliou [Bible].), ‘Theos, to do Your thelema [determination, choice, decision, decree].’”

PSALM 40.6: “Zebach [slaughter, animal sacrifice] and minchah [apportionment] You didn’t desire. You have opened ears to Me. Zebach and chataah [offering for sin] You haven’t requested. Then I said, ‘LO! I come;’ in the Megillach [Roll, Scroll, Bible], it is written of Me. “I delight to do Your delight, My Elohiym.’”

[Hebrews continued] Saying above, “You not desired, nor were pleased with thusia and prosphoran as to hamartias (which are prospheran [borne toward, brought near to an altar] according to The Law [1st five books of the Old Testament, Books of Moses, Pentateuch]),” then He said, “LO! I come to do Your thelema, Theos.”

He takes away the first in order that He may set up the second, by which Will and Testament we hegiasmenoi [are made holy, are sanctified] via the prosphoras of the somatos [body] of Jesus, the Christou [Mashiyach]; once for everyone. Every priest stands (down to day by day, as a public servant), serving and often prospheron the same thusia of which not even one can take away hamartias. But He, prosenelkas [having offered] one thusia on behalf of hamartion, in perpetuity sat down at the right of Theos; from then, accepting [awaiting] until His enemies are placed as a stool for His feet. For by One prosphora He has perfected (in perpetuity) those being hagiazomenous [made holy, sanctified].

Hebrews 12.7: If you endure discipline, Theos is dealing with you as with sons for who is a son whom a father not disciplines? If you are without discipline, of which everyone has been caused to be a participant, then you are bastards, not sons. Moreover, we had fathers of our flesh as correctors, and we respected them. Shan't we much more be subject to the Father of Pneumaton [spirit] and shall live? For they in fact disciplined us for a few days down to the seeming-to-them good but He does so for our profit, to partake of His hagiatetos [holiness, sanctification]. In fact, all discipline seems for the present not to be of joy but of grief but later it gives back to those having been trained through it, peaceable fruit of dikaiosunes. Therefore, straighten up the dangling alongside hands and the enfeebled knees and make straight tracks for your feet in order that the lame not be turned aside but rather, be healed. Pursue shalom [safety, peace, health, happiness, prosperity, friendship] and hagiasmon with everyone, without which not even one person will see the Kuriou.

Hebrews 13.8: Jesus the Christos [Mashiyach] is the same yesterday, today, even to the ages. Don’t be carried away by various and strange teachings. It is kalon [beautiful, virtuous] for the heart to be confirmed by chariti [graciousness]; not by foods, by which those walking in them weren’t profited. We have an altar of which those serving the tabernacle haven’t authority to eat. For of the animals, whose blood is brought by the high priest into the Holy of Holies concerning hamartias, the somata bodies] are burned outside the camp. Indeed, Jesus, in order that He might hagiase [make holy, sanctifiy] the people via His blood, suffered outside the gate. So, let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. For we haven’t here a continuing city, but we seek the coming city. Via Him, let us always offer up a sacrifice [offering] of praise to Theos, that is the fruit of the lips confessing to His name.

Ephesians 5.25: Men [Husbands]! agapate [unconditionally love] your gunaikas [women, wives], even as the Christos also egapese the ekklesian and surrendered Himself for its sake in order that He hagiase [might make holy, might sanctify] it, cleansing it by bathing in a rain of rhemati [utterances] in order that He might present it to Himself as the glorious ekklesian (not having spot or wrinkle or any of such defects) but in order that it be hagia and unblemished.

1st Timothy 4.4: For every creation of Theos is kalon and not even one thing is to be cast off. Having been received amidst euchariston [gratefulness, thankfulness], it is hagiazetai [made holy, sanctified] via the Logou of Theos and enteuxis [supplication, prayer].

2nd Timothy 2.20: Now, in a big house there aren’t only vessels of gold and silver but also wooden and earthen vessels; also, some to timen [value, esteem, dignity] and some to disgrace. Accordingly, if any thoroughly cleanses himself from these, he will be a vessel to timen [value, esteem], hagiasmenon [having been made holy, having been sanctified] and euchreston [useful] to the Despote [Despot, Master] having been prepared to every good work.

1st Peter 3.15: But hagiasate [make holy] the Kuriou Theos in your hearts, being ever ready toward pleading your case (to everyone asking you) a logon [word] concerning the elpidos [expectation, hope] in you, amidst prautetos [mildness, humility] and fear, having a good conscience in order that in that they slander you as kakopoleo [doer of worthlessness], they may be shamed down, those insulting your good behavior in the Christo. For it is stronger [better] to be a good doer if the thelema [determination, choice, decision, decree] of Theos thelo you to suffer, rather than to suffer for being a kakopoleo.

PSALM 110:1 A statement of YHWH to My Adonay [Lord, Master]: “Sit at My right until I set Your enemies a stool for Your feet. The rod [scepter] of Your strength shall YHWH send forth out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Your people shall be willing in the day of Your might. In the majesties of qodesh [hagiasmos], from the womb of the dawn comes the dew of Your youth to You. YHWH has sworn and won't repent: You eternally are a Priest according to the order of Melchizadek!”

Lesson 99 Amplified -- SOTERIA

 SOTERIA

American: rescue, safety, salvation

In Amplified Lesson Thirty, we studied Our Savior, Jesus the Christos. Here we expand the discussion to salvation, the condition of being saved.

Almost Greek: (Words in italics are translator’s additions)

1st Thessalonians 5: Brothers! You have no need to be written concerning the times and occasions for you yourselves know that the day of the Kurios, as a thief in the night, so it comes. For when they say, “Peace and security,” then destruction unexpectedly comes upon them as birth pain to the pregnant woman and they may not (in no way) escape. But you aren’t in shadiness, brothers, such that the day should seize you as a thief. All of you are sons of the Rays [Light] and sons of the day. We aren’t of shadiness, therefore let’s not sleep as the rest but let’s be vigilant and be sober. For those sleeping, sleep by night and those getting drunk, are drunk at night. Since we are of the day, let us be sober, putting on the corselet [body armor] of pistis [faith] and of agape [unconditional love] and a helmet of elpis [expectation, hope] of soteria. For Theos not placed us prostrate into orge [violent passion, fury, rage, wrath] but for acquisition of soteria via our Kurios Jesus, the Christos (the One having died on our behalf) in order that whether we keep awake [live] or we sleep [die], we may live together with Him. So, parakaleite [call near, invite, urge, exhort, encourage, solace] one another and be a builder up one to the other as indeed you do.

2nd Thessalonians 2.13: I ought always eucharistein [express gratitude to, give thanks to] Theos concerning you, brothers, egapemeoi [having been unconditionally loved] by the Kurios, because Theos chose you from the beginning to soteria in hagiasmos [holiness, purity] of the Hagios Pneuma and conviction of the truth to which He called you, via my euaggelion [good news, gospel, evangel], to acquisition of the glory of our Kurios Jesus, the Christos. So then, stand firm, brothers, and firmly grip the transmittals that you were taught either by logos [word] or by a letter of mine.

2nd Corinthians 6: Being your fellow worker, I also parakaloumen you not vainly to receive the charin [graciousness] of Theos, for He says,“At a favorable time, I heard you and in a day of soterias, I helped you.”

ISAIAH 49.8: Thus says YHWH:

“In a favorable time, I paid attention to you and in a day of yeshuwah [deliverance, salvation], I surrounded [enfolded, embraced, hugged] you.”

2nd Corinthians 8: Because even if I grieved you in the first letter, I not regret it now, even though I did regret it then. For I see that that letter (even if indeed it grieved you for an hour) has caused change. Now, I am joyful, not that you were grieved, conversely, that you were grieved to metanoian [thinking differently, turning about 180 degrees, repenting]. For you grieved down to the choice of Theos in order that you might not be injured in even one word emergent from me. For sadness down to the choice of Theos works metanoian to irrevocable soterian but worldly sadness fully works out death.

Romans 1.16: For I am not ashamed of the euaggelion of the Christou for it is the dunamis [force, power] of Theos to soterian to the whole population pisteuonti [having faith]; first to the Jew and also to the Greek [everyone else].

DEUTERONOMY 30.14: For the dabar [logos: word] is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart in order that you may do it.”

Romans continues] But what says it? “The rhema [utterance] is near you (in your mouth and in your heart).” That is the rhema of pisteos (which we kerussomen [proclaim, herald]), that if you acknowledge [covenant] in your mouth the Kurion Jesus and pisteuses [have faith] in your heart that Theos awakened Him emergent from dead, you sothese [will be safe; will be saved]. For with the heart one pisteuetai [holds faith] toward dikaiosunen [equity, justification, rightness] and with the mouth one acknowledges toward soterian. For the Graphe [Scripture, part of Old Testament] says, “Everyone pisteuon [having reliance, having faith] upon Him won’t be shamed down,” for there isn’t a distinction for the same Kurios of all of mankind (both of Jew and of Greek) is wealth to all those appealing to Him for,

“Everyone (whoever invokes the name [authority] of the Kuriou [Lord, Master]) sothesetai [will be safe; will be saved].”

JOEL 2.32: [YHWH speaking] “For it will be that all, who call out to the name of YHWH, mala [will be smooth, will be slippery, will escape, will be saved] for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance,” as YHWH has said, “and there is a survivor to whom YHWH shall call out.”

Philippians 2.12: So then, my agapetoi, just as you have always obeyed (not just as only in my presence but now much in my absence), work out your soterian with fear and trembling. For Theos is the One active in you both to thelein [determine, choose, decide, decree] and to do for His good pleasure. Do everything apart from grumbling or disputing in order that you may be blameless and innocent children of Theos, blameless in the midst of a skolias [crooked, warped, perverse] and corrupt generation in whom you shine as lights in the kosmo [universe, world, cosmos], holding the logos of life (into a boast to me) in the day of the Christou, that I not vainly ran nor felt fatigue in vain.

Ephesians 1.3: Eulogetos [Fine spoken of, Commended, Blest, Praised] be the Theos and Father of our Kuriou Jesus, the Christou, Who blest us with all spiritual eulogesas [blessing] above the sky [in Heaven], in Jesus, the Christo, as He selected us before the founding of the kosmou [universe, world, cosmos] to be hagious and unblemished before Him. He was predestining us (in agape) to adoption via Jesus, the Christou, to Himself down [according] to His good pleasure and thelematos [determination, choice, decision, decree] to the praise of His glory and charitos [graciousness] with which He favored us in the Egapemeno [Beloved] in Whom we have redemption via Jesus’ blood; aphesin [forgiveness] of paraptomaton [side slips, lapses, deviations] down to the riches of the Father’s charitos. Which graciousness He caused to abound to us in all wisdom and intelligence, making known to us the musterion [secrets, mysteries] of His thelematos down to His good pleasure, which Father proposed (in Himself) for administration of the fullness of times, to head up all the ouranois [elevation, the heavens, the sky, aloft] and the earth in the Christo. In Him [Jesus], we have been selected to be an inheritance, being predestined down to the purpose of the Father, all working down to His boulen [will, resolve, intention]; His thelematos for us to be His praise and glory, those having previously trusted in the Christo. In Him [Jesus], you were also hearing the logon of truth, the euaggelion of your soterias and in Whom you pisteusantes [were also having reliance or faith]. You were sealed up with the epaggelias [announced, proclaimed, promised] Hagios Pneuma, Who is the earnest [down payment, deposit] of our inheritance until the redemption of the possession to Jesus’ praise and glory.

Ephesians 6.10: For the rest, my brothers, be empowered in the Kurio and in the might of His strength. Put on the whole armor of Theos to be able to stand against the wiles of the diabolou [leader to shame, devil, satyr] because it isn’t us wrestling against flesh and blood but against the chiefs, against the forces, against the kosmos-rulers of the shadiness of this age; against the pneumatika [spiritual] powers of ponerias [whoring, committing incest, doing non-marital sexual intercourse] above the sky! Because of this, take up the whole armor of Theos in order that you may be able to stand against [oppose] in the ponera [hurtful] day and having worked out all, to stand. Stand then, having girded about your loins with truth.

ISAIAH 11.5: [Jesus] Rightness shall be the belt of His waist and fidelity the belt of His loins.

[Ephesians continues] and putting on the breastplate of dikaiosunes

ISAIAH 59.17: [YHWH] He put on tsidqah [dikaiosune] like armor and a helmet of yeshuwah [soteria] on His head.

[Ephesians continues] and having shod your feet in the preparation of the euaggeliou of peace.

[Ephesians continues] In [Above] all, having taken up the shield of pisteos [reliance, faith] in which you will be able to quench all the having-been-made-fiery darts [arrows] of the ponerou [hurtful] one, take up the helmet of soteriou, and the sword of the Hagios Pneuma (which is the rhema [utterance] of Theos), via all proseuches [humbly begging God, praying] and deeseos [making petitions, making requests, making prayers], at all times proseuchomenoi in the Hagios Pneuma and keeping awake to this same in all persistence and deesei concerning the hagion [holy, sacred, consecrated ones; saints].

1st Peter 1.3: Adorable is the Theos and the Father of our Kuriou Jesus, the Christou; the One Who down to His much compassion begot us into living elpida [expectation, hope] via the anastaseos [standing up again, resurrection] of Jesus, the Christou, emergent from dead to an imperishable, unsoiled and unfading inheritance; having been guarded in Ouranois [Heavens] for you in the dunamei of Theos. It was being guarded via pisteos into a soterian ready to be revealed in the final time in which you jump for joy. Just for a puny time now, the testing of your pisteos which is more precious than gold is distressing in motley tests [trials] that eradicate via fire. But being tested, you may be found into praise and timen [value, esteem] and glory in the revelation of Jesus, the Christou, Whom not having personally known, you agapate [unconditionally love]; into Whom (just now) not clearly discerning, you are pisteuontes. [having reliance, having faith]. But you jump with joy (with inexpressible joy) and glory to tend [care for] the telos [the point aimed at, the end of this age] of your pisteos, soterian of your psuchon [souls, lives, psyches, egos]. With respect to which soterias, prophetai [before tellers, prophets] searched out and explored, propheteusantes [before telling, speaking under inspiration, prophesying] with respect to the charitos [graciousness] to you; inquiring into whom or what sort of time the Hagios Pneuma of the Christou made clear to them, testifying (in advance) to the Christon’s sufferings and the glories accompanying these sufferings. It was revealed to them (not only to themselves but to us) that they served [distributed] the same truths which now were announced to you via those euaggelisamenon [having announced the good news] to you in the Hagios Pneuma, sent forth from Ouranou, in to which aggeloi [messengers, angels] yearn to look.
